Hormead First School is a Voluntary Aided Church of England primary school that offers a distinctively Christian education in an inclusive environment where we encourage all children and young people to develop socially, morally, spiritually and academically. 

Children and staff of all faiths and those of no faith are welcome at our school. We promote understanding, respect and tolerance between those of different faith traditions as well as those who do not follow a faith. 

At Hormead, the promotion of Christian Values offers a spiritual and moral basis for developing the whole child. It offers a foundation for personal and social values based on the premise that every child is made in the image of God and is special, precious and unique. 
The distinctive nature of our approach to education can be found in our explicit Christian values. For example, within collective worship, a grounded Christian ethos, our curriculum and within RE lessons. 
Staff and pupils are inspired by our Christian values and strive for the highest standards and to have high aspirations for the future.
